HC 100 Transmitter General Information

photo HCJB Global HC 100 DESCRIPTION

The HC 100 shortwave multiband amplitude modulated transmitter is a state of the art transmitter using the latest technology in modulation technique and control. The RF section uses time proven techniques with a final tube operating well below its rating to provide high reliability and long life. The modulator design has reduced the heat losses by ten to one over a conventional tube type plate modulator. The computerized control system provided operator and equipment protection not previously available on conventional transmitters. It implements a wide range of fault analysis which is displayed on the monitor screen.

PROTECTIVE MEASURES

Components used in the transmitter have a high margin of safety with respect to their published ratings.

The control and metering systems sense overload conditions and many parts of the transmitter and shut the transmitter down to the nearest safe operating level. Main and individual circuits are protected by fuses and circuit breakers. A computer based control system manages operation of the transmitter with inputs from the operator and feedback to the operator via the metering system and CRT monitor presentation of the data.

Water and air temperatures and coolant flow are constantly monitored with automatic shutdown for overtemperature or lack of coolant flow.
